Latest on Kerry’s Recovery and Upcoming Surgery

Hi everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to update you all on how our dear friend Kerry is doing, especially for those who may have heard bits and pieces over the last few weeks.

About three weeks ago, Kerry developed a case of pneumonia and had to be transported from Kessler Rehabilitation Center, where he had been staying and receiving therapy. Thankfully, the pneumonia subsided within a week, but we then had to wait on approval for his transfer back to Kessler. It took some time, but we’re relieved and grateful to share that as of yesterday, Saturday, April 12, Kerry is now back at Kessler and has already resumed physical therapy with the dedicated staff there.

Overall, he’s doing well. In a very encouraging sign, we’ve started to see slight but noticeable movements in both his right arm and leg, which were previously dormant. These may seem like small steps, but they are major victories and a testament to the strength and determination that Kerry continues to show each day. He truly is a fighter, and he thrives on the love, support, and presence of those around him—so please continue to visit, call, donate, and support him in any way you can.

Looking ahead, Kerry is scheduled to return to Cooperman Barnabas Hospital on Friday, April 25, for a cranioplasty—a procedure to replace the portion of his skull that was removed during a previous surgery. The operation is expected to last a few hours and is considered a routine procedure. Afterward, he’ll remain in the hospital for an undetermined period before returning to Kessler Rehabilitation to continue his therapy and recovery.

Please keep an eye out for updates regarding his location if you’re planning any in-person visits in the near future.

We ask that you continue to keep Kerry in your thoughts and prayers as he moves through this next stage of healing. Every message, visit, and prayer makes a difference.

With love and gratitude,
