Latest on Kerry’s Recovery and Upcoming Surgery

About three weeks ago, Kerry developed a case of pneumonia and had to be transported from Kessler Rehabilitation Center, where he had been staying and receiving therapy, back to the hospital. Thankfully, the pneumonia subsided within a week. It took some time, but we’re relieved and grateful to share that as of yesterday, Saturday, April 12, Kerry is now back at Kessler.

I had the chance to visit him on Sunday and again this evening. Yesterday, I could have sworn he gave us a little smile—that smile, the one that’s always been infectious and full of life. It was brief, but unmistakable. It was Kerry.
